Alhassan Suhuyini predicts 85% win for himself in Tamale North
Alhassan Suhuyini, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Tamale North, has confidently predicted an 85% victory in the constituency during the 2024 elections. Speaking on TV3’s live broadcast of the Election Command Centre coverage, Suhuyini emphasized his strong support base and optimistic outlook for the election results.
Suhuyini had secured 64.67% of the votes in the 2020 elections, with a net loss of 3.12% compared to 2016, where he had 67.79%. His main contender, Alhassan Dahamani of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), garnered 34.76% in 2020, a significant gain from 16.98% in 2016.

The total number of registered voters in the constituency stands at 47,399, with 41,571 total votes cast.
