GMA-UK Honors King Paluta

King Paluta, a gifted musician from Ghana, took home three awards from the 2024 Taabea Ghana Music Awards (GMA) UK. In addition to winning the Hiplife Song of the Year (Yahitte) and Best Highlife Song of the Year (Aseda), the “Makoma” hitmaker was named New Artiste of the Year. To win the coveted New Artiste of the Year award, he defeated artists such as OlivetheBoy, Estelle Safowaa, and Oseikrom Sikanii.

After winning the category at the Ghana Music Awards Europe and the 2024 Ghana Music Awards, King Paluta was crowned New Artiste of the Year for the third time. At the 2024 GMA-UK, Afro-Dancehall performer Stonebwoy won the top honor of the evening, Artiste of the Year. At the awards ceremony, which took place at London’s Meridian Grand, Mr. Drew, Epixode, King Ayisoba, Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Nti, and Esther Smith, among others, gave exceptional performances.

Sarkodie won Best Rapper of the Year, King Paluta won New Artist of the Year, King Promise won Most Popular Song of the Year, Mr. Drew won Best Collaboration of the Year, and other honorees include UK-Based Gospel Song of the Year: Aku Bless King Paluta won Hiplife Song of the Year, Perez Muzik won Male Vocalist of the Year, Lordina the Soprano won Female Vocalist of the Year, and Geo Wellington won UK-Based Afrobeats/Afropop Song of the Year. Other honors include Stonebwoy’s Artiste of the Year, Davido’s Best African Artiste, Amakye Dede’s Lifetime Achievement Award, Kuami Eugene’s Highlife Artiste of the Year, and King Paluta’s Best Highlife Song of the Year.
