Former President and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has vowed to complete the Afari Military Hospital when reelected into office.
During a community engagement in Abuakwa in the Adwema Nwabiagya south constituency, John Mahama criticized the current government for delay in completing the 500-bed capacity Afari military hospital and has vowed to complete the project when elected into office.
“I’m sad as I stand here because the Afari Military Hospital we built was near completion, I remember my time in office, I came to inspect it, it was roofed with doors equipment was ready before I left office. Eight years down the line, the NPP government has abandoned the hospital in the bush.”
The former president called on the voters in the Ashanti region the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote for change in the upcoming election urging them to reject what he described as poor governance and the longstanding neglect of the region’s needs.
“What I have for the NPP is that the time has changed, the ethnic politiCs has ended,” John Mahama mentioned.
