Dorcas Affo-Toffey is a Ghanaian entrepreneur, politician, and philanthropist, born on May 4, 1972, in Tikobo No. 1 . As the mother of Ghanaian Afro-Dancehall artist Fantana, she’s made a name for herself in Ghana’s political and business landscape.
Affo-Toffey’s educational background is impressive, having pursued courses in dental hygiene, branding, real estate management, and earning an MBA in marketing in the United States . Her political journey began in 2019 when she was elected as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Jomoro Constituency, which she won in 2020 .
As a member of the 8th Parliament, Affo-Toffey has been a strong advocate for economic development, particularly in her constituency . She’s also made headlines for her entrepreneurial ventures, including owning a football club, Jomoro FC, and supporting women’s empowerment and youth development initiatives .
On a personal note, Affo-Toffey is married to Joseph Lawrence Ashun and has two daughters, Fantana and Lynelle Koffi, a medical student in the United States . Her family, particularly Fantana, has been supportive of her political career, often showing public support for her campaigns .
