Archbishop Charles Agyin-Asare and his congregation at the Perez Chapel have prayed to God to grant the winner of the upcoming general elections victory in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
On Sunday, December 1, 2024, the man of God encouraged his congregation to pray that God would grant the person a one-touch victory in the elections.
Archbishop Agyin-Asare stated that the individual must win the presidential and parliamentary elections to carry out their agenda for the country.
He cited Donald Trump’s victory in the United States as an example, saying that the newly elected US President secured victory in the Senate and Congress, which will make it much easier for him to roll out his policies for Americans.
He prayed the same for Ghana, saying we do not need a run-off, but the winner must secure a one-touch victory.
“In America, Trump won the elections, and I like the way he won it. He got the Senate, and he got the Congress. So, whatever agenda he wants to prosecute, it would be done. Currently, we have what we call the hung parliament.
“So this time around, we don’t know the Majority and the Minority. They are all able to take us for something. This election, we don’t want a second round. We want one touch. And it should be such that if God is making somebody to be president, he should give him the house,” he prayed.
Archbishop Agyin-Asare stated, “Father, in the name of Jesus, as a people, we agree according to your word that this election, the man you are giving it to, give him the House of Parliament that his agenda can be prosecuted. And so we ask that whoever you are giving the house, give him a landslide victory. In the name of Jesus.”
