Ghanaian gospel musician and police officer ACP Kofi Sarpong has called on Ghanaians to maintain peace before and after the December 7 elections.
In an interview with TV3 on December 2, 2024, the renowned gospel musician noted that the country has enjoyed peace since Independence and therefore, come December 7, Ghanaians should not incite conflicts.
“Voting is the civic responsibility of Ghanaians. I am here to cast my vote as a Ghanaian because the EC has given us the chance to vote today in its Special Voting.
“So I would urge Ghanaians to peacefully in the elections so that we can all enjoy the peace we have enjoyed since independence,” he said.
ACP Kofi Sarpong said this as the country gears up for the 2024 general elections scheduled for December 7.
Vice-President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be competing against the NDC flagbearer and former President John Dramani Mahama; New Force Movement leader, Nana Kwame Bediako; Movement for Change leader Alan Kyerematen, and eight other candidates.
