The Ghana Tourism Authority issued a notice it was excited to announce that from December 1, 2024, to January 15, 2025, visitors can enjoy a Non-Pre-Approval Visa. It’s part of the transformative 10-year “Beyond the Return” initiative.

This decision was made to attract visitors to this West African Country only until January 15, designed to support the nation’s biggest celebration of all things:

Cultural, Entertainment, Adventure, Nightlife, Fashion, Gastronomy, Tours, and Community service.

Ghana wants potential visitors to know that as the gateway to Africa, Ghana is the go-to hotspot for experiencing the December holiday season in West Africa. In a directive issued on November 28, 2024, Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, Minister of Transport, called on all Airlines to update their systems promptly to implement this new policy. This initiative aligns with the “Beyond the Return” vision and strengthens Ghana’s connections with the global African community, fostering cultural exchange and economic growth. The pre-approval waiver exemplifies Ghana’s commitment to welcoming the African diaspora and international visitors, ensuring a smoother, more accessible travel experience.

Akwasi Agyeman, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, emphasizes the significance of this new visa regime, urging travelers to take advantage of this exceptional opportunity and fully immerse themselves in the exciting December in GH festivities.
