The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party NPP, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia confirms another sad news from the Northern Region of Ghana ahead of the 2024 elections. Ghanaians are left with only 8 days to go to the ballot box to cast their votes to elect the Next President after His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo.
In a Facebook post on Friday 29th November 2024, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia confirms the death of one of the prominent Islamic leaders in Tamale. According to His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the renowned Islamic leader who died in the Northern Region Tamale has been identified as Shaykh Baba Repairer. The Vice President mourned him in his post on Facebook
“I have received with deep sadness the news of the passing of Shaykh Baba Repairer, a revered Islamic leader, prominent Tijaniya Muqaddam in Tamale, and a devoted student of Shaykh Ibrahim Nyass Al-Kaolahi.
Shaykh Baba was a pillar of faith, whose unwavering dedication to Islam and selfless service earned him immense respect within the Muslim community and beyond. He was the father of Dr. Ibrahim Anyars, the Deputy Campaign Manager for my Presidential Campaign.
His departure is a great loss to the Muslim Ummah. I will personally miss the purity of his counsel.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, the Tijaniya fraternity, and all who were touched by his wisdom and kindness.
