In an interview, Ghanaian broadcaster and actor Mikki Osei-Berko hinted that he would return to politics. About 20 years ago, Mikki served as an Assembly Member for the Ayidiki Electoral Area in Accra. When Roselyn Felli, the host, asked him if he would consider going back into politics, this time as a parliamentarian, he said, “probably yes.” “Because I believe our lawmakers have overlooked a great deal of things.” I think this country’s government hasn’t been very innovative; they just collect taxes and borrow money. But through innovation and business-oriented administration, I believe there are chances that may generate revenue for the nation and support its citizens,” he said.

He stated on Changes, “I went as an independent candidate on the direction of God,” in reference to his previous role as an Assembly Member. I didn’t even consider discussing it with anyone. I made the choice based on God’s inspiration. Everyone believed I couldn’t win when I ran, but I did. However, he had to leave the nation to continue his school, thus he was only able to complete one semester.

“I got the chance to go outside to school even before the term ended. I believed it would be better to educate myself and return a better person than to stay in politics, so I had to leave before the term ended to study film production at the New York Film Academy,” he stated. Mikki Osei-Berko is well-known for his humorous parts in Dada Boat, Master Richard on television and radio, and Kokonsa on Radio Gold. He is also adored for his spotless performances in engaging commercials and films.
