Election 2024: Bawumia poised to unite Ghana as first muslim President, says Napo

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has reiterated his unwavering commitment to fostering harmony and unity among Ghanaians, transcending religious and ethnic divides.

Speaking during an engagement with the Islamic clergy in the Ashanti Region on Saturday (30 November), Dr. Opoku Prempeh aka ‘Napo’ shared the party’s vision for a united Ghana under the leadership of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

He highlighted the NPP’s foundation of diversity, where hard work and competence remain the pillars for progress, and assured the clergy of his steadfast loyalty to Dr. Bawumia.

“With Insha Allah, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will become Ghana’s first Muslim President, leading a transformative agenda for the country,” he stated.

Dr. Prempeh emphasized that Ghana’s development lies in its ability to rise above divisions.

He affirmed that the NPP’s consistent demonstration of national unity, as reflected in its presidential ticket, makes it the ideal choice for the December 2024 elections.

“A vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a vote for unity, inclusiveness, and development,” he said, urging Ghanaians to support the NPP’s vision of Bold Solutions for Our Future.

Dr Opoku Prempeh had held similar meetings with the Christian leadership in the Ashanti Region.

He is expected to connect with other key stakeholders in the region as part of the NPP’s campaign strategy.
