A car in the convoy of National Democratic Congress (NDC) vice presidential candidate Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang was attacked in a frightening event on the Akosombo-Accra route.
A police outrider allegedly led a caravan of supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the incident.
Witnesses report that on November 29, an attack between Akuse and Kpong resulted in a damaged windshield. Thankfully, the incident did not result in any injuries.
The driver of the truck that was attacked believes that the second convoy was in fact connected to the NPP. The tragedy happened as Professor Jane Naana’s team was coming back after a two-day campaign visit in the Oti Region.
