The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has denied rumors that it’s planning to relocate its headquarters from Ghana to Nigeria. Apparently, some media reports suggested that the Ghanaian government’s debt to WAEC might be the reason for a potential relocation. However, John Kapi, the Head of Public Relations at WAEC, has clarified that there have been no discussions about relocating .
According to Kapi, the law that established WAEC states that its headquarters will remain in Accra, Ghana, and there have been no changes to this arrangement. WAEC’s headquarters is currently located at Nelson Mandela Avenue, Off Gulf Street, in Accra .
