A gang of two armed men have shot and killed a gas station owner at Gomoa Akotsi in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
The incident, according to a report by adomonline.com, occurred in the early hours of Thursday, November 28, 2024.
The deceased, identified as Martin Okyere, and popularly known as Italian Burger, is a 50-year-old male who had been operating his gas station for over a decade.
According to an eyewitness account, a number of gunshots were heard from the gas station, prompting the attention of those nearby.
Persons who rushed to the station found the robbers ransacking the place, while the deceased lay in a pool of his own blood.
According to an eyewitness, Martin Agyei, he and a daughter of the deceased were also almost shot by the robbers, in their attempt to rescue Okyere, who later succumbed to the gunshot wounds after being rushed to a hospital.
