To The Ghanaian Voter: Time To Gird Up Your Loins

“In some parts of this country, when they finish eating fufu they start behaving stupidly and vote for stupid people” -John Dramani Mahama, alias Malam John

If I am given the opportunity to choose the best among the prophets of Israel, I would choose Jeremiah, the weeping prophet. God had told Jeremiah that He knew him when he was in his mother’s womb, and that He had put his words in his mouth, so Jeremiah should prophesy to the people of Israel.

Prophet Jeremiah obeyed the Lord of Israel and went about speaking about the way the people of Israel veered from the Lord and instead worshipped fake idols.  He even went to the palace of the king and warned him to steer away from his ways but the people of Israel paid no heed.  Sometimes he was beaten up and thrown into jail.  The more they tortured him, the more he prophesied.  He prophesied that the king and his two sons will be captured and his sons would be killed in front of him.  He also said the people of Israel will be taken into captivity and exiled for so many years unless they heeded the warning of the Lord.  What Jeremiah said came to pass.  Praise the Lord.

The Ghanaian voter will be making a choice in ten days’ time which could change the destiny of the younger generation and children yet unborn.  Where I dwell in the firmament, I could see what other Ghanaians cannot see because as Angel Gabriel who prophesied the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ which came to pass, people should not take me for granted.

After all, was I not the angel who made Zachariah dumb when he challenged me? Anytime I look into my crystal ball, I could see Dr. Bawumia wearing a crown bedecked with gold and sitting on a thrown, surrounded by President Akufo-Addo and former President John Kufuor. I could also see Dela Edem and some fake prophets of Baal paying homage to the crowned king.

On a more serious note, everything points to the fact that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will be the next president of Ghana come December.  Dr. Bawumia has got a big mind and a big mind requires a variety of thoughts and impulse to keep it occupied.  To me, that is a calling card for success.  The man is very serious about facing the future with optimism than resigning to fate.  He keeps his brain and senses open to view stimulus.

You see, being true to yourself and your work is an asset.  He knows that after working with his boss to build a strong foundation made with concrete as far as fixing the economy is concern and of course, the introduction of the free SHS, leaving such a foundation in the hands of a person like John Mahama who is an accomplished loser will spell a doom for the nation. That is the more reason why since Dr. Bawumia started his campaign, he has never rested for a day as he keeps moving from one constituency to the other, preaching the gospel of digitalisation, which is what the whole world is adopting to build their respective nations.

Dr. Bawumia has been consistent in the promotion of digitalisation of the economy.  Luckily for him, he started the project long before he was chosen by his party as the flagbearer, and Ghanaians have benefited from this project.  Ghanaians would have found it difficult to understand him if he had not introduced the project before the campaign started.  All the promises he has been selling to the electorates are doable.  The NDC is finding difficult to dilute his message because Ghanaians have come to see the NDC people as “cannot do” apostles of doom misinformation.

They bastardised the free SHS project mooted by President Akufo-Addo since 2008 with teasing songs and several adverts. You see, in this modern era of information technology, you cannot hide your past.  It was Rawlings who told John Mahatma and the NDC that, indeed they won the 2012 election through a Supreme Court split decision but Candidate Nana Addo won the campaign with his free SHS message.  He went further to warn the NDC that if they failed to implement the free SHS and wait for the NPP to come back to power again and implement the project, it would haunt the NDC in all future elections.

The prophesy of Prophet Jeremiah Rawlings has come to pass. The NDC and Mr. Mahama in particular once told Ghanaians that they should not listen to any politician who used free SHS as a whimsical message by a desperate politician because he knew many Africa countries which introduced the programme but at the end of the day it failed miserably.  He also said if he had eight billion Ghana Cedis he would never use it on free SHS. Today, eight years down the line the same person is telling us that if he gets the nod to rule Ghana again, he will add all private schools to the free SHS programme.  Konkonsa man!

Unfortunately, because the free SHS has become a dream come true, he has made a U-turn and shamelessly telling Ghanaians that he was the one who introduced free SHS. What is worrisome is that Professor Naana Opoku-Agyemang, an academician of international repute who is supposed to know better is going around poisoning the minds of people that it was the NDC that introduced free SHS.

Habba, Madam!!  At your age and experience how do you want to be remembered?  One thing Ghanaians should know is that the NDC as a political party destroys the hard won reputation of fine ladies and gentlemen.  That is why no serious self-made person is joining the NDC campaign, thereby, leaving Asiedu Nketia, the village bully; Sammy Gyamfi, the Johnny Just come; Dela Edem, the uncouth man leading the NDC campaign.

You ask yourself, why is Dr. Spio-Garbrah, Professor Tony Aidoo, Professor Kwamena Ahwoi, and a host of fine brains in the NDC not on the campaign trail of John Mahama?  None of them will ever touch the man with even a long stick.  I pity the Fantes because three of their great and fine brains have been literally killed by the NDC.  Prof. Mills, Amissah-Arthur and Ekow Nkensen Arkaah fell on the bayonet of this political party which Mr. Mahama himself said they know how to unleash violence.  Riddle, riddle:  Which people do you think Malam John is referring to in the above mentioned quotation?
