The search for the next Miss Ghana has commenced with the auditions for Miss Ghana 2024 taking place under the auspices of Exclusive Events Ghana and the Miss Ghana Foundation.
The event, spearheaded by Khadijah Yusif, Director of Events, promises to maintain the pageant’s legacy as a platform for empowerment and national impact.
Speaking to GhanaWeb during the auditions, Ms. Yusif shared her optimism about the process and the road ahead. “I’m confident we would be able to meet the ultimate criteria for crowning Miss Ghana 2024. We had an online pre-registration process that was successful, and now the auditioning stage is shaping up well. I’m confident we will be able to meet the goals ahead,” she said.
The Miss Ghana 2024 journey goes beyond beauty and elegance to highlight corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This year’s audition coincided with a critical blood drive organized in partnership with the National Service Secretariat. “They called a few days before the auditions, expressing a dire need for blood. As part of their CSR, they had to organize a blood drive and fundraising event,” Ms. Yusif explained.
Looking ahead, the calendar for Miss Ghana 2024 promises an exciting array of activities, including a sports event and a cooking show. “These will be fun and engaging preludes to the grand finale,” Ms. Yusif noted. The grand finale is tentatively scheduled for the end of December, aiming to dovetail with the festive season.
Ms. Yusif also expressed hope for a conducive atmosphere during the election season, which coincides with their planned activities. “We hope the elections are free so we will be able to enjoy the benefits of our labour,” she added.
The official launch of Miss Ghana 2024 is expected soon, with further details to be announced. As the pageant gears up to crown its next queen, the journey promises to uphold the ideals of beauty with a purpose and national pride.
