Shatta Wale has revealed that his former manager, Bullgod, has taken him to court again, following an earlier defamation suit filed in 2022. The initial case arose after Shatta accused Bullgod of being involved in the 2014 murder of Fennec Okyere, former manager of rapper Kwaw Kese. Shatta’s claims, made on social media, alleged that Bullgod had confessed to planning the act, prompting Bullgod to seek legal redress for defamation and damages.
Although reports in March 2023 suggested that both parties were exploring an out-of-court settlement, there has been no confirmation of its resolution. Recently, Shatta Wale disclosed in an interview on Angel FM that Bullgod has returned to court, this time accusing him of wrongdoing after Bullgod allegedly leaked unreleased songs from Shatta’s new album. Expressing frustration, Shatta criticized the legal system, claiming it often overlooks the full context of disputes. “Bullgod has put my unreleased album out there for free, yet he’s the one suing me,” Shatta said. He added, “I’m tired of hiring lawyers and being dragged to court for issues that aren’t my fault.”
Shatta also recounted previous financial and material support he gave to Bullgod, including $60,000 and a brand-new car. He stated he would not honor the court summons unless Bullgod returned those items. Concluding his remarks, Shatta declared he would no longer tolerate repeated legal battles, asserting, “No judge can force me to keep going to court. The streets are my support, not the system.”
