John Kufuor is the Architect of Alan Kyerematen’s Political Identity

According to reports from Ghanaweb, Nana Yaw Oduro Mensah, a prominent political commentator, has issued a powerful statement to Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and his Movement for Change, emphasizing the significant impact former President John Agyekum Kufuor had on Alan’s political career.

Oduro Mensah criticized what he perceives as Alan’s failure to acknowledge his political mentor.

On his broadcast, Oduro Mensah was clear in his assessment.

“If there’s one person Alan should always hold in high regard, it’s Kufuor,” he asserted.

“Without Kufuor’s support, Alan’s prominence in the NPP would have been significantly diminished. Kufuor is not just a political figure; he is the architect of Alan’s political identity.”

These comments came in the wake of Kyerematen’s controversial exit from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to establish his own political movement, the Movement for Change.

His departure was marked by accusations of neglect and favoritism towards Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, sentiments that Kyerematen openly shared in a recent interview.

In his critique, Oduro Mensah noted that while Kyerematen’s departure surprised and disappointed many within the NPP, no one publicly criticized him.

The party chose to remain silent, even as Kyerematen made disparaging remarks about Kufuor, alleging bias.

During the conversation, a co-host offered a different viewpoint, suggesting that Kyerematen might be suffering from a misplaced sense of entitlement.
