The Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Professor Ahmed Nuhu Zakariah, has been recognized at the 2nd Edition of the 100 Most Influential People Awards (MIPA).
He was awarded a plaque and a citation that expressed, “Your impact on the advancement and development of Ghana as a country and on the socio-economic progress of its various communities has significantly enhanced their quality of life and position in the global context. You have not only been a source of inspiration but have also opened doors for millions of Ghanaians to achieve their full potential.”
In light of the recognition, Professor Zakariah conveyed his appreciation to the awarding committee and promised to continue his efforts in enhancing the nation’s health system.
The event, organized by The Business Executive, was held at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, attracting attendees from various industries who were honored for their outstanding contributions.
As the leader of the National Ambulance Service, Professor Zakariah’s leadership is widely acknowledged within the health sector. He has guided the Service’s growth from a mere seven pilot stations in 2004 to its current figure of two hundred and ninety-seven (297).
