Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice President of Ghana and the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has announced that he will retain Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, the Member of Parliament for Karaga and current Finance Minister, in his role if elected president on December 7, as reported by GhanaWeb.
Bawumia praised Dr. Adam’s competence, stating, “He is one of the best Finance Ministers we have had in the country. I am going to retain him when I become President not because he is from the north but because he is competent and has proven his capabilities.”
These remarks were made during his visit to the Tolon constituency as part of his Northern region tour.
Bawumia urged Ghanaians to vote for him and reject former President John Dramani Mahama, emphasizing that Mahama, having served as president before, failed to address the country’s challenges, which led to his defeat.
“When you vote for me I will work for you for 8 years but Mahama will work for only 4 years. I have initiated 33 policies as vice president but when you ask Mahama he cannot mention even 1 policy he has initiated as vice president and so I am the best choice for the country to continue with the good works of the NPP,” Bawumia stated.
He also highlighted the positive impact of NPP’s policies on Ghanaians and called on voters to support the party in its quest to continue the nation’s development agenda.
