A Ghanaian woman began selling coconuts under the new Flower Pot interchange a day after it was put into service, sparking amusing reactions on social media.
The freshly built structure was put into service by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, just a few weeks before Ghanaians cast their ballots on December 7. The purpose of the recently built interchange is to relieve the heavy traffic in the area by connecting East Legon and the Spintex route.
Despite authorities’ cautions that no one should do business under the bridge, a picture of a lady selling appeared on social media the day after the commissioning ceremony.
The image went viral and generated a lot of amusing responses.
One amusing picture read, “Meet Sahadatu Seidu, the first person to sell under the newly commissioned flyover.” Additionally, one netizen wrote: “Ahhh😂😂😂 others will join soon😂.”
