Over the weekend, a growing public feud between renowned broadcaster Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah and Prophet Opambour Ebenezer escalated after a tense exchange of words on social media. The clash began when Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah decided to weigh in on a heated dispute between Prophet Opambour and popular media personality Vim Lady Afia Pokua, also known as Afia Pokua.
The conflict between the two started when Prophet Opambour Ebenezer, a widely recognized pastor in Ghana, made controversial remarks about the Ghana Card, which sparked backlash from Afia Pokua. In response, Opambour Ebenezer unleashed a fiery rebuke against the media personality, using harsh language that caught the attention of many, including Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah.
In an online statement, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah criticized Prophet Opambour’s approach, urging the popular pastor to reconsider his public attacks. He suggested that Opambour should not use his position as a man of God to curse or vilify others. “As a follower of Christ, you should embrace forgiveness and tolerance, not harsh condemnation,” Afrifa Mensah stated. He further called on the Prophet to cease using his pulpit as a platform for personal grievances.
However, Prophet Opambour Ebenezer responded swiftly and strongly to Afrifa Mensah’s critique. In a direct message, the controversial preacher warned Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah to be careful with his words, cautioning that “the unexpected could happen” if he continued down this path.
This response triggered a fierce counter-reaction from Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, who, in a fiery retort, threatened to expose the Prophet’s alleged wrongdoings. “I will expose you today,” he declared in a social media post. “You cannot mend any stone, and I don’t see why they should call you Opambour. I am not one of those people you can attack. Stop using your pulpit to attack others. We are in this country together, and we know what you people are doing.”
