Yahaya Kassim, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Amasaman Constituency, has pledged to secure a resounding victory for the party’s presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in the upcoming December 7 elections.
Speaking during Channel One TV’s Community Forum on Monday, November 18, Kasim reaffirmed his dedication to fostering development and inclusivity across Amasaman.
He emphasized his commitment to addressing the needs of the constituency’s diverse communities, including Zongo, Ga, and Ewe populations, which have traditionally supported the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Kassim outlined his vision for the constituency, stating that his efforts would be centred on improving living standards, creating opportunities, and ensuring that all residents benefit from the development initiatives he aims to implement.
“As for Dr Bawumia, in Amasaman here, he should sleep. I am giving him not less than 80% and I know why I am saying so. Because across all the 17 electoral areas, I have worked there. The NDC banks their hope in the Zongo communities as well as the Ga community and the Ewe communities.
“But when you go to all these three communities, you will see my handiwork there. I am putting up boreholes in the ewe communities, giving them support. Everything I am doing is across the constituency.
“…So they have realized that truly I am for them. So, this time around, they are not going to vote for the NDC anymore because they have been disappointed by the NDC,” he stated.
