In a rousing speech at a recent New Patriotic Party (NPP) rally, Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia celebrated Ghana’s remarkable achievements in education and food security under the NPP government.

“Today, Ghana stands as the second-highest in educational quality across Africa,” declared Dr. Bawumia. “This remarkable feat is a testament to our government’s unwavering commitment to investing in the future of our children.”

Dr. Bawumia attributed Ghana’s educational success to the government’s Free SHS policy, which has made secondary education accessible to all Ghanaian children, regardless of their financial background. He also highlighted the government’s investments in teacher training and infrastructure development.

In the area of food security, Dr. Bawumia announced that Ghana now ranks third on the continent. “This achievement reflects our government’s relentless efforts to ensure that every Ghanaian has reliable access to food,” he said.

He pointed to the government’s Planting for Food and Jobs program, which has provided financial assistance and training to farmers across the country. As a result, agricultural productivity has increased significantly, leading to lower food prices and improved nutrition for Ghanaians.

Dr. Bawumia also emphasized the NPP’s commitment to the well-being of all Ghanaians. “We have launched more development projects than any previous government,” he asserted. “This is a clear indication of our unwavering dedication to improving the lives of our people.”

The Vice President’s speech was met with thunderous applause from the crowd, who expressed their support for the NPP’s policies and achievements.

Dr. Alhaji Bawumia made this statement during his visit to the Adansi Fomena constituency, located in the Ashanti region, as part of a comprehensive regional tour.
