Nations FC head coach Kasim Ocansey Mingle has made it clear that his side won’t be an easy target as they prepare to take on Asante Kotoko in a high-stakes Ghana Premier League showdown.
The Abrankese-based club will meet the Porcupine Warriors at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday for their matchday 11 fixture. Nations FC have been impressive since the start of the 2024/25 season, securing five wins, four draws, and only one loss in their 10 matches so far.
Acknowledging the challenge ahead, Mingle, a former Bechem United coach, remains confident his team will not back down easily against their formidable opponents.
“Asante Kotoko are our senior brothers, and we respect them, but once we step onto the field, we’ll put seniority aside,” Mingle stated. “The team that plays the better football—and with a little luck—will take the win. The pitch will decide.”
He added, “Kotoko will push hard to satisfy their fans, but we won’t be pushovers. It’s going to be a tough game.”
With 19 points, Nations FC currently hold second place in the league standings, trailing leaders Bibiani Goldstars by just one point.
