The Black Stars of Ghana have made a donation to the Dzorwulu Special School ahead of their crucial matches against Angola and Niger in the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

The team, led by captain Jordan Ayew, were seen giving out jerseys and handing over an envelope to the head of the school to show their appreciation.

After the donation, Jordan Ayew shared a few words with the students to encourage them to remain focused on their education. However, the specific items that were donated were not disclosed.

Black Stars players, including Gideon Mensah, Fatawu Issahaku, and Lawrence Ati-Zigi, took time to take pictures with the students, who were beaming with smiles.

“Ahead of our trip to Luanda, we visited Dzorwulu Special School to spend time with the students and staff, and made a special donation,” the official Black Stars account wrote on X on November 14, 2024.

Some football fans have applauded the initiative by the team to extend their support to the vulnerable in society .

The Black Stars aim to win against Niger and Angola and hope Sudan lose their remaining matches to secure qualification to the 2025 AFCON.

After four matches, Ghana are third in Group F with two points. Sudan are in second place with seven points, while Angola lead with twelve points.

Ghana will play Angola on November 15, 2024, and return to host Niger at the Accra Sports Stadium on November 18, 2024.
