A senior member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Amma Frimpomaa, has urged first-time voters to show appreciation to Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the NPP flagbearer, with their votes when they go to the polls on December 7.

She said that voting for the NPP is the surest way to show appreciation for the government’s implementation of the Free Maternal Health and Free Senior High School (FSHS) programmes, which have benefited them the most.

In an interview with the media at Odomase in the Sunyani West Municipality, Lawyer Frimpomaa said first-time voters and their parents would be ungrateful if they failed to vote for the Vice President and retain the NPP in power.

Lawyer Frimpomaa was speaking to the media after she donated eight brand new motorbikes, 1,000 branded NPP T-shirts, and GHC 20,000 to the Sunyani West Constituency office of the NPP at Odomase, the constituency capital.

She said the motorbikes and T-shirts were to be distributed among the seven zones in the constituency to empower coordinators to upscale electioneering and reach out to voters in hard-to-reach communities.

Madam Frimpomaa reminded Ghanaians that the implementation of the government’s flagship FSHS programme is making a huge impact on the lives of the younger generation, hence the need for voters to consider this and vote to retain the NPP in power.

This, she stated, would enable Alhaji Dr. Bawumia’s government to strengthen the programme to benefit more Ghanaians.

Ms. Frimpomaa said the NPP could not afford to lose the 2024 election and therefore called on the party to avoid complacency, intensify electioneering, and propagate the Vice President’s vision to the electorate.

She also urged them to do more to enhance the party’s chances of winning and retaining the Sunyani West constituency seat.
