NDC parliamentary candidate donates to Lambussie health directorate

Lambussie, (UW/R), Nov. 13, GNA – Dr. Titus Kofi Beyuo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for the Lambussie constituency has donated hospital equipment to health facilities worth GH¢102,000,00 in the constituency to enhance healthcare delivery.

The donation included one box of temperature guns, five boxes of surgical gowns, five boxes of disposable medical face masks and a 10LPM oxygen concentrator to be distributed to health facilities in the constituency.

Speaking after the presentation in Lambussie Dr Beyuo said primary healthcare was the first point of contact for patients and others who need care.

He noted that it was for this reason that he was providing the hospitals with the necessary logistics to enable them to operate effectively.

He said the gesture formed part of the efforts to improve the general health outcomes to promote universal healthcare among the constituents.

According to him, the hospital equipment provision was an important step towards restoring the district’s future development.

The donation, he said, would ensure his people receive quality and comprehensive healthcare ranging from prevention to treatment, rehabilitation, and palliative care.

Dr Beyuo said the health of the constituents was important to him, and applauded the various health staff for their good work and vision to help improve the health care and living conditions of their patients.

The paramount chief of the Lambussie Traditional Area, Kuoro Issaka Zengeh Kazie Tenjie II, received the items and subsequently handed them over to the district director of health for onward distribution.

Kuoro Tenjie II expressed gratitude to the Dr. Beyuo for his continues support and intervention and asked for God’s blessings in his endeavours.

He said the unflinching commitment and support of the parliamentary candidate to the constituency will improve the developmental agenda in the area.

Mr Jerdu Bin-eranaa Nuhu, the district director of health receiving the items on behalf of management expressed gratitude to the parliamentary candidate for the support.

He said the items were to cater for the people’s health needs and pledged to put the medical equipment to effective use to transform the center and distribute them accordingly.
