Former Asante Kotoko defender Maxwell Agyemang has backed the Porcupine Warriors to overcome their recent setback and secure a positive result against Bechem United in their upcoming Ghana Premier League matchweek 11 fixture on Sunday.
Bechem United host Asante Kotoko at Nana Gyeabour Park on Sunday, in what promises to be an intense encounter between two clubs with contrasting recent forms in the Ghana Premier League.
Following Kotoko’s disappointing loss to Heart of Lions, which saw the team slip to third place in the league standings with 15 points, Agyemang believes they have the ability to bounce back.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Ghanasportspage.com, he expressed his confidence that Kotoko can secure a win or at least a point in their next fixture, regardless of the challenges they face.“Bechem venue is an ordinary park, Kotoko can beat them, playing away or home,” Agyemang stated. “Kotoko needs a result. I’m sure that Kotoko can pick a point or three points on Sunday.
”Agyemang, who is still actively involved in football and open to opportunities with any club in Ghana, including Hearts of Oak and Kotoko, also emphasized the importance of the players giving their all for the team. “Playing for Kotoko is a big opportunity, so everyone must play with their heart,” he added.
“I will try my best to go to the stadium and watch the game. Well, it’s up to them, but the only thing I can do is boost them, encourage them.” he told Ghanasportspage.com.
