In an electrifying rally at Dadiesoaba, Lawyer Sammy Gyemfi, the National Communications Officer, passionate advocate for change and a leading voice of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), called on the people to vote out the current government in favor of progress and accountability. Lawyer Gyemfi highlighted the extreme hardships faced by Ghanaians, drawing a parallel with Bishop Obinim’s famous phrase, “Aboroso oo,” to emphasize the overwhelming nature of the struggles citizens have endured.
“We’ve seen hardship before, but this one is to the extreme. It’s time to be vigilant, as cunning as snakes, because spreading lies has become the order of the day,” He declared, urging the crowd to discern truth from political propaganda.
Citing alarming financial mismanagement, Sammy Gyemfi compared the debts accumulated under the current administration to previous governments. He emphasized that while Ghana’s debt has consistently risen, the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration had received unprecedented funds, yet had little to show for it. “The debt under John Mahama rose to 120 billion cedis, but that investment is visible—Dadiesoaba saw schools, markets, hospitals, and roads. Mahama’s leadership put our resources to good use,” Gyemfi stated passionately.
The rally wasn’t just about speeches; it was a pledge to the future of Dadiesoaba’s youth. Addressing the plight of unemployed nurses, Sammy Gyemfi underscored how Mahama’s development projects—especially in health—could have made employment opportunities easier. A group of young nurses, frustrated with years of unemployment, expressed their full support for Mahama’s return, chanting, “We support JM to break the eight!”
In a heartfelt gesture, Sammy Gyemfi donated GHS10,000 to a fund set up by the chief and elders of Dadiesoaba. Reflecting on the support he received from Hon. Collins Dauda, Gyemfi shared, “When I was in school, Collins Dauda paid my fees. It’s only fair I contribute now to help others.”
As the sun set over Dadiesoaba, the air buzzed with hope and resolve, with citizens rallying behind Sammy Gyemfi’s message. With high spirits, they pledged their support to the NDC, ready to vote for change and end the extreme hardships they believe have weighed down their community for too long.
