Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Saanie Daara, has expressed concerns about some officials within the current administration.

He explained that the Executive Council Members of the GFA are not performing their duties rightfully, especially when it comes to defending the association in times of crisis.

Saanie Daara indicated that during Kwesi Nyantakyi’s tenure, most of the Executive Council Members were active in responding to criticisms; however, the situation is different this time around.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM, Saanie Daara called on the GFA officials to be vocal in the public domain and respond to criticisms regarding their job.

“I am not impressed with how the Executive Council has supported Kurt Okraku and his administration. In times past, the Executive Council members were heavily involved in everything, but I don’t see that in this current administration.

“George Afriyie, Osei Palmer, and Kojo Yankah were all instrumental in Kwesi Nyantakyi’s administration, but I do not see that under this administration. Since the Black Stars’ last game against Sudan, I have not heard any member of the Executive Council coming out to speak and defend the GFA, Kurt Okraku, and the product,” he commented.

This comes as concerns have been raised about the performance of the various national teams, especially the Black Stars, in recent times.

The GFA have stated that they are concerned about the performances of some of the national teams and are taking steps to address them accordingly.
