The Money Wasted In Producing This Statue Could Be Used To Pay Zoomlion Workers – Ghanaians React To Nana Addo’s Statue At Effia-Nkwanta Hospital

Ghanaians have reacted to President Nana Addo’s decision to mount a statue of himself infront of the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital during his Western Region tour.

Ever since he unveiled the statue, there’s been a series of mixed reactions from the general public.

Some showered praises on him for leaving such a gigantic legacy for generations to come and witness. Others criticised him for not priotising the needs of Ghanaians.

They asked if the money spent on tattoo couldn’t be used to the salaries of Zoomlion workers who have been complaining of no wages.

According to the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, the statue is a tribute to Akufo-Addo’s “amazing” contributions to the region.

The so-called contributions of Nana Addo to the region included the rehabilitation of Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital (which, unfortunately, isn’t fully completed), the construction of a three-tier Sinohydro interchange (still under construction), and the redevelopment of Takoradi Market Circle.

The statue has since gone viral.
