Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Ghanaians to reject the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh stated that the NPP, on the other hand, has proven to be a party that embraces all Ghanaians irrespective of their tribal and religious backgrounds.
He supported this claim by pointing to the election of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the first Muslim and Mamprusi native to lead a major political party in Ghana.
Additionally, he mentioned the NPP’s decision to select a Muslim and a Christian as their flagbearer and Vice Presidential Candidate as evidence of the party’s respect for all tribes and religious groups in society.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh also recalled the opposition party’s removal of Haruna Iddrisu and Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka from their positions as Minority leader and Minority Chief Whip in Parliament.
Popularly known as NAPO, Dr. Opoku Prempeh expressed his belief that Dr. Bawumia will be elected in the December 7 election, and he (NAPO) will faithfully partner with him to bring development and prosperity to Ghanaians.
He made these statements during a courtesy visit to the Overlord of Dagon, Yaa Naa Mahama Abukari Gariba II, at his Gbewaa Palace.
