We now have a credible and robust voter register

The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, has assured political parties and the public that all discrepancies identified in the 2024 voter register has been addressed.

During the presentation of the final and certified voter register to political parties in Accra on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, she noted that over 150 issues that were raised about the register had been resolved ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the electoral roll.

She further reaffirmed the EC’s commitment to a free fair and credible election.

“I assure you of our commitment to conduct free, fair, peaceful and glorious election. May God bless the presidential candidates, may God bless the Electoral Commission, may God bless the 2024 elections and all the processes, and may God bless our beloved nation. I now present to you the final and certified register,” she noted.

The cleanup of the 2024 voter register follows calls by the National Democratic Congress (NDC), aimed at identifying potential discrepancies and enhancing the accuracy of the register ahead of the election.
