Prophet Nigel Gaisie, the founder and leader of Prophetic Hill Chapel International, has shared an intriguing account involving Phillip Appiah Kubi, known as Roman Fada, and an alleged attempt to convince him to drop out of the 2024 presidential race as reported by Ghana Web on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, Prophet Gaisie revealed that he was present when an offer was made to Roman Fada to withdraw his candidacy in exchange for a substantial financial reward.
According to the prophet, the offer came through a phone call while Roman Fada was with him during the final stages of filing his nomination.
“Roman Fada was sitting right in front of me, a big call came via… [that] he should come for BIG MONEY,” Prophet Gaisie wrote, though he did not provide any evidence to support the claim.
Despite the lucrative offer, Roman Fada chose to proceed with his candidacy. Prophet Gaisie expressed his support for the decision, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing national interest over personal gain.
“I am glad I did the little I can. Congratulations in advance on your nomination, Sir. Thanks for choosing Ghana, not money! Thanks for your loyalty over the years, Sir,” he added, alongside a photo of himself and Roman Fada.
The announcement came after the death of Madam Akua Donkor, the Ghana Freedom Party’s (GFP) former leader, on October 28, 2024, at the age of 72.
Following her passing, the Electoral Commission halted the printing of presidential ballots for the December 7 election and provided a 10-day window for the GFP to nominate a new candidate.
Roman Fada, who had served as Donkor’s running mate, was successfully nominated as the new flagbearer of the GFP on Tuesday, following an endorsement by the party’s leadership.
