Ablekuma West constituents have highly commended the performance of their Member of Parliament, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
Speaking exclusively in an interview on GhanaWeb’s Campaign Trail, constituents expressed their excitement over the road infrastructure network that has been constructed across parts of the constituency during her tenure.
“She has done well, and I am impressed. She has fixed the roads from SSNIT Flats all the way to Tungani, which was initially in a deplorable state. Even with the help of the DRIP equipment, they are continuing with rehabilitation works on the other roads in the community,” a taxi driver said.
Additionally, market women in the Dansoman market endorsed Ursula’s candidacy for another term.
According to them, Ursula has, on many occasions, helped advance their businesses by offering financial support and has also opened a foundation in the community specifically to assist women.
“She has helped organise the women in the market financially. She gives us money to support our businesses anytime we are financially handicapped, and we pay back in investments, so I will vote for her based on that,” one market woman said.
Ursula Owusu-Ekuful’s opponent, Kweku Addo, contesting on the NDC’s ticket for the Ablekuma West seat, seeks to cause an upset and clinch the seat for his party.
The constituency has been dominated by the NPP over the years and is seen as one of their strongholds.
