Prophet Stephen Adom Kyei Duah has shared insights on why he believes the people of Asante are known for their success, emphasizing hard work and resilience as key factors. Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, November 3, 2024, Prophet Adom Kyei Duah highlighted that success isn’t tied to one’s background or tribal identity but rather stems from individual effort and determination.
Addressing common perceptions, he remarked that every person has a place of origin, but that alone does not guarantee success. Instead, it is the ability to make things happen through perseverance and dedication that truly counts. Prophet Adom Kyei Duah cited the Asante people as a primary example, stating that they have achieved great things not simply because of their heritage but because they uphold values of hard work and do not compromise on the basics. He referenced Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the influential Paramount Chief of the Asante kingdom and the sole custodian of the revered Golden Stool, as a symbol of strength and leadership, further underscoring the Asante work ethic.
Prophet Adom Kyei Duah extended his message to all tribes in Ghana, explaining that success isn’t exclusive to a particular group. Whether Asante, Ewe, or any other tribe, success requires one to engage in rigorous training, skill-building, and consistent effort. He pointed out that simply belonging to a certain tribe does not assure prosperity; it is the commitment to personal and professional growth that determines one’s progress.
Using the Asante and Ewe communities to illustrate his point, he emphasized that members of these tribes are successful not because of their identities but due to their dedication and hard work. “Asantes are successful because they are hardworking. Ewes are successful because they are hard-working. If you are an Asante or an Ewe and you are not hardworking or lack skills, then you won’t be successful,” he declared.
Prophet Adom Kyei Duah’s message highlights the universal importance of resilience and discipline, encouraging his followers to prioritize skill development and persistent effort over reliance on background or heritage for lasting success.
