Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate, has made an impassioned plea to Ghana’s youth to participate actively in the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the youth Connect event, Dr Bawumia emphasized that every vote counts and young people should not feel disenfranchised or disconnected from the electoral process.

As a seasoned Economist and former central banker, Dr. Bawumia has a deep understanding of Ghana’s economic challenges and opportunities.
His impressive track record includes serving as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, where he played a key role in designing and implementing policies that stabilized the economy and promoted growth.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated a commitment to inclusive development and good governance.
As Vice President, he championed initiatives that leveraged technology to transform the delivery of public services and drive economic growth.
Now, as the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Bawumia is mobilizing Ghana’s youth to take ownership of their future.
