Election 2024: Bawumia has genuine support in Ashanti Region

The Mayor of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Sam Pyne, has expressed confidence in a strong voter turnout for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming general elections, citing robust grassroots support for the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Speaking on Eyewitness News on Monday, November 4, Sam Pyne shared his optimism about the turnout in the Ashanti Region, noting that constituents across the area have shown genuine enthusiasm and support for the NPP’s flagbearer wherever he visits.

“The warmth and backing for Dr. Bawumia are clear signs of solid grassroots commitment to the NPP’s vision for the country,” he added.

“I have been a regional secretary for 12 years, I am a grass root person, I go down and I have been the mayor of Kumasi and I deal with the people down there and I know we are going to come out in millions to vote for the NPP come to election,” he stated.

He added “When you find people wasting their time and coming from their homes, running over to meet the vice president, you don’t tell me it’s fan-fool respect.

“I have been in politics since 1992 and I read the eyes and feelings of the people I know genuine and organic support and the inorganic ones I am telling you Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is going to be the president of the Republic of Ghana come January 2025.”
