An independent group well-known for its political analysis and research has published new data on the difficulties faced by the majority of Ghanaians and the expectations held by voters in the run-up to and following the upcoming general election.
The following are some of the issues highlighted by Global InfoAnalytics: 5% taxation and rates; 5% political rights and democracy; 5% crime and security; 6% services; 7% poverty and destitution; 8% power; 10% corruption; 11% farming and agriculture; 17% water supply; 21% rising cost of living; 25% economic management; 28% education; 33% health; 38% infrastructure and roads; and 41% unemployment.

Global InfoAnalytics found that the unemployment rate in Ghana is currently at an all-time high and that the majority of Ghanaians are dissatisfied with the NPP administration because their pledge to lower the rate has not materialized.
Therefore, the incumbent party may be impacted in this general election by rising living costs, unemployment, and economic rate control. Since the fundamental necessities of the Ghanaian people were not met.
