Asante Kotoko and Legon Cities in TROUBLE as GFA charges clubs for Regulatory Violations

Asante Kotoko and Legon Cities FC have been officially charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for violating several regulatory provisions in the wake of their Match Day 6 clash in the Ghana Premier League. The GFA identified breaches of Section 34(6)(d) of the GFA Premier League Regulations, 2019, and Section 16(1)(e) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019.

These charges arise from an incident in which both clubs reportedly failed to manage their officials and supporters, resulting in a brawl that compromised the integrity of the match. Such misconduct not only disrupts the match environment but also damages the reputation of the league as a whole.

In light of these developments, both clubs have been given until Tuesday, November 5, 2024, to respond to the charges laid against them by the GFA.
