Kotoko coach Ogum speaks on first loss of the season after 1-2 against Legon Cities

Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum reflected on his team’s 2-1 loss to Legon Cities, describing it as “an exciting game of two halves.”

The Royals secured their first win of the season against the Porcupine Warriors in an intense match held at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Wednesday night, marking Kotoko’s first defeat in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

A visibly defensive Ogum kept his responses brief post-game but acknowledged the team’s struggle, especially in the second half. “It happens all over the world. He who is down fears no fall,” Ogum stated, adding, “It was an exciting game, a game of two halves.

It’s not the best way to lose, especially if you look at the way we played in the second half; it shouldn’t have happened, but then it has. We just have to put ourselves together and move on.

”Asante Kotoko now prepares to face Heart of Lions in Obuasi on Sunday, while Legon Cities will host Young Apostles in Accra on Monday.
