Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has received strong support from President Nana Akufo-Addo, who has emphasised Bawumia’s commitment to Ghana’s growth, loyalty, and competence. Akufo-Addo described their political partnership, which started in 2008, and hailed Bawumia as a trustworthy partner during a tour of the Ahafo Region on Tuesday. He told Myjoyonline, “I can’t say one wrong thing about Dr. Bawumia,” highlighting the important accomplishments Bawumia has made to Ghana.
Bawumia is the perfect leader to advance Ghana’s growth, according to Akufo-Addo, who expressed faith in his abilities to advance the nation’s advancement. By drawing a comparison between Bawumia and opposition candidate John Dramani Mahama, he implied that Mahama’s 2012–2016 president lacked the revolutionary drive required to fortify Ghana’s infrastructure and economy.
Bawumia’s leadership abilities were highlighted by Akufo-Addo, who said, “I can vouch for his capabilities, and I will not leave Ghana for someone who can’t do the job.” God won’t permit that to occur. When considering Bawumia’s position as the Bank of Ghana’s Deputy Governor, Akufo-Addo recalls realising his potential back in 2008. Akufo-Addo praised Bawumia’s perseverance in the face of early defeats in the 2008 and 2012 elections, and their 2016 triumph confirmed his faith in Bawumia’s abilities and moral fibre.
