Archbishop Amoako Sacked by Families of Crash Victims Along With GH Personalities Who Escorted Him

Archbishop Salifu Amoako and his team were turned away when they visited the families of two girls who died in a car accident involving his 16-year-old son, Elrad Salifu Amoako. The crash, which happened on October 12, 2024, left two girls dead and three others badly injured. Elrad was reportedly speeding in a Jaguar SUV when he crashed into another car at a junction, causing a fire.

During the visit, Salifu Amoako was accompanied by well-known figures like Captain Smart, Rev. Owusu Bempah, and Kumchacha. However, the families refused to meet them, likely due to their deep grief and frustration. Reports suggest that the convoy of luxury cars and security escort used by Amoako’s group may have angered the families even more.

The accident has stirred public debate, with many calling for accountability, while others urge compassion. Archbishop Amoako has apologized to the grieving families and expressed his sorrow in a video, saying the incident has been a heavy burden on him and his family. He also prayed for the families of the victims.

However, during a sermon on October 20, 2024, Amoako defended his son, stating that the crash was a tragic accident, not a deliberate act. He urged the public to stop blowing the incident out of proportion and to show understanding.

The case has sparked conversations about how powerful individuals and their families should be held accountable. Investigations are still ongoing, with the Ghana National Fire Service confirming details of the accident. Public reactions remain mixed, with many closely following how the situation unfolds.
