Ghanaian Journalist, Umaru Sanda has taken the arguement to a different level, questioning that if the majority leader decides to run on NDC ticket next elections, be would be allowed to finish this section of the Parliamentary affairs on the New Patriotic Party side.
He questioned that if Hon Alexander Afenyo-Markin of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had decided to run as the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Efutu in December, would the NPP let him continue to sit in Parliament on their side and even lead them.
He further asked also that if the NDC’s Ato Forson said he intends to join the NPP ‘in the future’ so he picks forms to contest Ajumako on the elephant symbol in December. Would the NDC allow him to remain an NDC MP and leader?
He said his scenarios may sound absurd but if it becomes the law, that the four members of parliament stay in Parliament, we may get there one day, where the dilemma will keep us in a cross roads.
“Allow the said MP to stay in the caucus of his current party while scheming against it like Arkaah did to Rawlings, or chase him out like the pigs did to Snowball in Animal Farm (you can replace this example with what the NPP did to Andrews Asiamah in 2020)?” He asked.
