I’ll Not Bring Bawumia To My Level By Debating Him- Mahama

Vice President and flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has desperately been pushing for a debate with John Dramani Mahama ahead of the general elections.
According to the NPP leader, the debate will provide the two of them the opportunity to bring Ghanaians up-to-date with their policies.
President Nana Akufo-Addo has recently challenged former President John Mahama to engage in a public debate with Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia ahead of the December polls.
He urged the NDC flagbearer to debate Dr Bawumia to make clear his position on some crucial issues.
“Why is John Mahama running away from the debate? Says he’s ready any day for the debate. Why is Mahama running away from the debate?”
Responding to the increasing call from members of the ruling New Patriotic Party for a debate, John Dramani Mahama said he would elevate Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to his level by debating him.
Speaking during a campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region, the NDC flagbearer urged the Vice President to go and debate with the people of Ghana and apologize to them. He stated emphatically that debating the NPP leader will amount to bring him to his level.
This has also been confirmed in a post made by Accra-based GHone TV on its verified Facebook page.
The Former President remarked that his main contender has not lived up to the expectations Ghanaians placed on him, urging the people not to reward the NPP with another term of office.
The comment by John Dramani Mahama has been met with varied reactions.
