Ghanaian former musician, Mimi has finally opened up on why she quit music. Speaking on Nana Ama’s Onua Showtime Show, Mimi disclosed that, after getting married, her husband wanted her to stop music and focused on something more productive.
She explained that, she was so in love then and chose to fulfil her husband’s wishes by giving up on her career as a musician.
Looking back now, especially since she is divorced now, Mimi disclosed that she wished she hadn’t listened to her ex-husband and focused on her career.
“Right after I had dropped a hit song and became a viral sensation, I disappeared from the music scene. This was because I got married and love blinded me. My husband asked me to stop singing and use my school certificate for something more productive and I listened. Today, I regret that decision.” Mimi stated.
