Big Dawood and Ghanaian celebrities lead ‘+233 Peace March’ to promote peaceful elections

Ghanaian celebrities came together in Accra on Saturday, October 5, 2024, to champion peace ahead of the December 2024 general elections, joining forces with Let Love Lead NGO, founded by Big Dawood (Nene Lartey Osakonor I).

Leading the charge were media personality Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), football administrator Samuel Anim Addo, and musician Keche Joshua, who, along with other public figures, participated in a peace march to promote unity and calm as the nation prepares to head to the polls.

The march, which began at Accra Mall and concluded at Elwak Stadium, saw hundreds of participants, with the celebrities engaging communities along the 10-kilometer route, spreading messages of peace through placards, music, and personal interactions.

Addressing the crowd after the march, Big Dawood emphasized the critical role of peace during the election period, urging Ghanaians to stay united and avoid any actions that could incite violence. KOD and Samuel Anim Addo echoed similar sentiments, calling for national stability and urging citizens to protect the country’s peace.

Other notable personalities present included Lead Pastor of Pottersville Church, Bishop Sam Owusu; WatsUp TV Founder, ABD Traore; retired Chief Superintendent of Police, Elvis Bawa Sadongo; comedian MJ; Godwin Frimpong; Executive Director of the Supreme Council for Arab-African Economy, Hajj Mukaila Ahmed Akuamoah; and Nii Anang Amanyankwa Obasaa, Chief of Leshie, La.

The +233 Peace March, which combined speeches, performances, and community activities, succeeded in raising awareness about the importance of peaceful elections, with the participation of celebrities helping to amplify the message and foster a sense of shared responsibility among Ghanaians.

As the December 2024 elections approach, Let Love Lead NGO and these influential figures are standing together to encourage peace and unity across the nation.
