Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected In These Areas, Meteorological Agency Warns. Stay Safe

The agency via its official twitter page have shared the weather forecast for today Sunday October 13, 2024. The coastline of Ghana as usual will experience early morning mist and a mostly cloudy weather in the day associated with widespread rain and occasional thunderstorms. Zones slightly above the coastal areas are also expected to have sane weather conditions as the coastal zone. The middle and transition belt zones are also expected to have early morning mists with patches of fog especially in mountainous areas. Mostly cloudy weather in the day is expected with chances of scattered rains and thunderstorms. The northern belt zone is expected to have a clear morning and a variably cloudy day with chances of scattered thunderstorms and rain.

This morning, cloudy weather will dominate most places of the country with cases of intermittent moderate to heavy thunderstorms expected over the southern half within the forecast period. Also mist or fog patches will reduce visibility for areas along the coast, forest and mountainous belts. As the day progresses, breaks of sunshine will ensue with prospects of isolated cases of thunderstorms or rain expected over the north from late afternoon into the evening hours. According to reports, Eastern Ghana already is experiencing its share of the rains as denoted in the picture below on the map for Sunday. Expert more of the rains during the day.
