Only about 50 days is left for Ghana to go to the polls to select who takes over the affairs of the country in the next four years to come. Many Ghanaians already have made their decisions whereas some are yet to choose their stands. Political parties are working tirelessly to win the trust and vote of Ghanaians in the upcoming polls as they launch major campaign tours across the country.
The New Patriotic party led by Dr. Bawumia is confident of retaining the NPP in power, whereas the National Democratic Congress led by former President Mahama is also confident of winning to aid reset the economy. Independent candidates and other equally competent political parties are also confident on winning power to break the cycle of the two major parties ruling the country in turns.
John Dramani Mahama currently has made a stop in Northern Ghana to proceed with his campaigns ahead of the upcoming general elections. A tensed and charged atmosphere was created as former president stormed the regions and towns. Present at the campaign grounds was Bulldog, one of Ghana’s biggest artist manager. Special adviser to John Mahama, Joyce Bawah shared via her official twitter page an affirmation made by Bulldog at the campaign grounds.
Bulldog has been in the headline recently as he has become a panelist on core programs on UTV. “Mahama is the man who can save us. Forget the other people”, he stated. The country actually has faced series of economic crisis which has brought the country’s economic growth to a stand still. Many Ghanaians in many posts and interviews also share the same perspective with Bulldog. Netizens have reacted to the above statement in different ways. Some netizens greatly disagree as some also side with him. Find below some comments I gathered from the post.
