The Chief of Jinijini in the Berekum West Constituency of the Bono Region, Nana Asare Baffour Tutu II, has expressed immense gratitude to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for bringing massive development to the district within seven years of its creation.

Speaking during the campaign visit of Dr. Bawumia in Jinijini on Thursday, October 10, 2024, Nana Baffour Tutu II commended President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Bawumia for heeding their request to create a district for them, which he said has brought immense development to the people in many areas.

“We asked the NPP government of President Akufo-Addo to grant us a district, and that has been duly done,” said the Chief.

“Since then, the level of development we have received here is remarkable. The level of development we have had in seven years, some districts which have been in existence for about 40 years don’t even have.

“You should go and look at the administration block for the district, and that will give you an indication of what I’m talking about.”

The Chief also commended the NPP for providing Berekum West with its fair share of health facilities and roads.

“We also have our share of the Agenda 111 hospital here in Jinijini. We have also been beneficiaries of the DRIP equipment, which will really help us to fix more of our roads.”

“Our cocoa farmers cannot also forget you for what you have done for them. In the history of this country, no government has been this kind to farmers for a huge leap in the prices of cocoa as the government of Nana Addo and Bawumia. Today, a bag of cocoa is 3000, which means a bag of cocoa can buy 36 bags of cement.”

“We are very grateful to President Nana Addo and Dr. Bawumia for their support to our community.”

Moving forward, the Chief said Vice President Bawumia has demonstrated that he’s the man for the youth of the country and urged them to vote for him in December to move the country forward.
